Job Description:

General PurposeDemonstrate full proficiency in performing maintenance on facility structure, such as floors, lighting, walls, ceilings, outside roof, and grounds; perform small construction projects, such as room additions; and maintain ground equipment, such as pressure washers, mowers, forklifts, and plant vehicles. Work with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused on complex and/or new assignments. Act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience.--Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesComplete building maintenance work orders in a safe and timely manner, while maintaining high quality standards. This may include plumbing, painting, welding, masonry, carpentry (both rough and finish)Perform routine inspections to ensure safety of building structure and proper functioningEnsure all repairs are documented. Complete all paperwork clearly, legibly, and accurately with required information. Document all required information in accordance with standard operations proceduresMaintain the grounds and grounds equipmentIdentify problems, perform root cause analysis, and address problemsMaintain communication with other departments, management, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concernsUtilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processesExhibit the ability to anticipate parts requirements for the tasks, follow proper purchasing procedures, and acquire parts ahead of anticipated task performanceAssist with other maintenance activity (e.g., plant maintenance) and with contractors as needed or when directed by supervisorMaintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issuesFollow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirementsThe requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.--Other duties may be assigned as requiredFour day work week, may include 1 weekend day and on call for snow removal.--
