We are a rapidly growing Employee-Owned organization who takes pride in improving public health, quality of care, and research.Primary purpose: Develop standards-based solutions to securely exchange data between systems including Electronic Health Records (EHRs), HIEs, public-health agencies, and other parties to accelerate public-health data-modernization activities. Gather stakeholder requirements; develop implementation and testing efforts; and collaborate with technical, clinical, and public-health experts. A successful candidate will: Oversee solution design and implementation-testing efforts using existing APIs and other existing data-exchange solutions from EHR vendors, public-health systems, and intermediaries.Evaluate data requirements and translate them into formal requirements. Facilitate and lead requirements and design meetings with diverse stakeholders. Identify and develop use cases to represent client needs.Map client requirements to relevant Fast Healthcare Inoperability Resources (FHIR) artifacts published within implementation guides.Create artifacts in XML and JSON conformant to XML/JSON schemas.Survey value sets for existing standards and identify the need to create novel value sets.Contribute to the development of standards-based papers, presentations, blogs, and memos.Support internal business development as a subject matter expert.Requirements:Bachelors degree or higher in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related fieldSix (6) years' relevant experience in Healthcare IT or related fieldExperience working in a Health IT vendor setting (such as with EHRs, medical devices, or healthcare interface engines)Proficiency with industry-standard security protocols (OAuth, UDAP), client app registration, and JSON Web TokensProficiency with HL7 FHIR standards and implementationsMethodical, organized analytical skillsPreferred Qualifications:HL7 certification in CDA or FHIR Experience with HL7 tools (such as FHIR Validator and IG Publisher)Experience working with EHR Vendor APIsProficiency applying XML Schema and XSLT transforms, and knowledge of SchematronExperience with XML/JSON editing tools (such as VS Code, OxygenXML, or XMLSpy)Experience with Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA)Additional Job Information:This position is 100% work-from-home/remote apart from the annual company meeting, held as conditions allow.
