Job Description:
What you will doYou will lead the HVAC Complex Security and Fire
installation and service businesses in your market that generally
have been assigned a medium to high corporate priority. Provides
subject matter expertise in areas including project management,
setup of local project offices, project scope definition, risk
identification, project methodology, prioritization, and
facilitation. Maintains control of schedule, cost, safety, quality,
and customer expectations/satisfaction always.Presents to
management and/or customers on project updates, project cycle, and
encouraged results. Report to management PSA, revenue and Margin
forecasts and updates. Be able to identify and mitigate any
shortfalls in business execution. May manage vendor relationships
throughout the installation. Ensures projects are closed on time
and in scope. Ensures that PSA and L&M are executed to meet or
exceed client expectations and business forecasts.You will have DFL
reporting to you from the installation and service sides of the
business. You will be responsible for all HR aspects on those
direct reports including timesheets, expenses, training, yearly
reviews etc. You will work with team to ensure proper scheduling
and utilization standards are met.How you will do itMethodology -
Understanding of Project Management Institute's (PMI) methodology
and key knowledge areas; Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality,
Human Resources, Communications, Risk and Procurement Management.
Apply these fundamentals to the service lifecycle as
well.Communication/Coordination - Responsible for communication and
status reporting to project staff, customer and Johnson Controls
management. Responsible for work plan, leading project resources,
duty assignment, responsibilities, scope of authority and provides
technical advice and problem resolution to all aspects of
project.Fiscal - Responsible for tracking business expenditures and
installation/service progress through reviews of status reports
prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules of plans as
required. Maintains full financial accountability to project;
requires ability to forecast financial trends across project/PSA
and L&M, ability to understand internal Johnson Controls and
external client cost structures and integrate or translate to/from
Johnson Controls accounting methodology using JCI/industry
standards.Must have strong business acumen with strong excel
abilities, strong understanding of business financials on both the
service and installation sides of the business. Must be able to
accurately forecast the financial objectives. Support the billing
and collections processes and work side by side with your
operations and service administration partners to ensure we are
positively billed and collecting our cash in a manner that meets
the company's financial goals.Quality - Maintain project quality;
conducting inspections of worksite, ensuring workmanship meets
Johnson Controls installation required quality standards and
expectations.Safety - Ensure the team is working in a safe manner,
properly using our reporting tools (PJC, LSO, NM and Stop work).
Perform monthly safety inspections per JCI policy guidelines. Hold
all required safety meetings, standdowns etc. Promote first and
foremost as safe work environment for your team and our
subcontractors.Customer Service - Provide adaptable, concise, and
professional support to all customers, both internal and external
and other personnel and ensures timely follow-up on all customer
concerns and issues.What we look forRequired Bachelor's degree or
associate Degree or equivalent work experience of at least five
yearsPreferred CSPM (Certified Security Project Manager)
certification preferred or ability to acquire certification within
6 months of employment in the position. PMI PMP (Project Management
Institute, Project Management Professional) certification preferred
or ability to acquire certification within 12-24 months of
employment. 5 years Project Management - security industry or new
construction experience preferred. Travel 20% or as needed.
