Introduction to the Job:ASML brings together the most creative
minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines
that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient
microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these
advanced machines, which enable our customers - the worlds leading
chipmakers to reduce the size and increase the functionality of
their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful
consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the
Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United
States including main offices in Wilton, CT, Chandler, AZ and San
Jose, CA. This position will be in Wilton, CT.This role is a staff
level position reporting to the head of the factory.Role and
Responsibilities:Lead a team of 40+ responsible for tooling and
fixture design, tooling and equipment purchasing, capital equipment
forecasting, equipment engineering, equipment installation and
facilities hook-up, and equipment maintenance and repair.You will
lead your team to manage tooling that meets or exceeds Safety
requirements, ensures Quality part handling & processing, delivers
availability performance that enables on time part Delivery, and
balances those objectives with Cost effectiveness.Collaborate with
production engineering and manufacturing personnel to define and
clarify tooling design requirements, and deliver to those
requirements while ensuring personnel and product safety.Be the
space and capital spending gatekeeper for Optics Factory.
Collaborate with NPI, Process Development, and Optics Operations to
consolidate capital equipment forecasts for funding, space
forecasting and layout development.Engage in process and metrology
equipment selection processes. Once selected, comprehensively
gather and specify facilities & IT requirements to support the
equipment operations and security. Collaborate with WF Technology
team, IT and CRE to ensure facilities space and facilities & IT
systems all support intended installation.Lead and facilitate
equipment monitoring and data collection initiatives, in addition
to operational automation initiatives.Define equipment and tooling
maintenance schedules and procedures. Define our cost-effective
maintenance and equipment service contracts, including spare parts
inventory strategy and management. Execute per schedule to deliver
stable and reliable availability performance. Monitor performance
gaps to drive improvement.Your maintenance team is the first line
of service for unplanned equipment or tooling downtime. Your
service strategies will clearly define troubleshooting duration and
escalation processes to equipment engineering or suppliers.You will
have technical process aptitude. You will demand quality in
execution and investigate excursions using structured problem
solving. You take action with urgency. You pride yourself with your
accountability for yourself and your team.You will define your
organization design including your shift operations support
strategy. In coordination with your peers, you will evaluate and
improve work processes for organizational effectiveness and
efficiencies.The result of your teams efforts will establish an
outstanding cost-effective Optical Factory operational environment
to deliver safe, reliable tooling and equipment that support
fabrication of high quality precision optics and ceramic
structures.Education & Experience:Masters degree in physical
sciences or engineering plus 8-10 years experience, Bachelors
degree in physical sciences or engineering plus 10-12 years
experience, or 15+ years in a high technology manufacturing
environment.5+ years management experience, preferably with
experience as a leader of leadersSkillsPrior experience with
tooling design and tooling design review methodologies.Experience
reading & interpreting mechanical design and facilities drawings
using computer aided design software.Experience interfacing with
and stakeholder managing construction trades and facilities
management organizations.Demonstrated experience with managing
employee development and performance.Strong LEAN manufacturing and
Continuous Improvement experience- you can demonstrate a history of
operational improvement through effective collaboration with your
employees and across your partner organizations.Computer
proficiency with MS Outlook 365 applications, with knowledge of SAP
or comparable ERP system.Familiar with ISO9001 and ISO14001. Direct
working experience in an ISO certified environment desirable.Other
Information:Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands
to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist,
reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the
campus.May require travel dependent on business needs.Must be
willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls,
hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of
shift.The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 35
pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and
ability to adjust focus.Must be comfortable working around lasers,
working with ladders, working on platforms, and working around
chemicals.Must be able to work in a moderate to high noise level
environment in a temperature-controlled environmentMust be
comfortable operating/working around overhead cranes, fork trucks
and motorized pallet movers.May be exposed to moving mechanical
parts, solvents and tooling.This position requires access to
controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export
Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.). Qualified
candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled
technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require
