ASML Wilton, Development & Engineering (D&E) organization is
seeking a Manager to lead one of the Engineering Groups responsible
for a key Function (Alignment Sensor) in Twinscan Systems. The
group is under Optical Sensors and Industrialization department in
D&E located in Wilton, Connecticut. This person will lead and
manage a group of Project Mangers, Architects and Design Engineers
responsible for design, develop and deliver industrialized, and
cost effective new products that also meets product performance
requirements. These new products include optical, opto-mechanical,
opto-electronic, electronic, mechanical and mechatronic systems,
sub-systems and components. As the manager, you will work in a
hyper fast paced and multi-disciplinary environment, requires
strong stakeholder management skills. In addition, you will be
actively involved in both organizational and product strategy and
road mapping activities in the department.
Role and responsibilities
Within ASML, Development & Engineering (D&E) is responsible for
design, development, and delivery of integrated solutions that meet
business requirements. The Optical Sensors & Industrialization
Department supplies resources, means, methods, and technology to
ensure the on time delivery of next generation new product. This
person will report to the Department Manager of the Optical Sensors
& Industrialization department in Wilton D&E. This job requires
a leader to:
Directly manage a team of 20-30 engineers, including project
managers and technical leaderships (Architects).
As the main functional manager of Wafer Alignement Sensors, the
manager is accountable for product development activities, key
decisions on product release, quality of design and resource
together with Project manager, Architect and Functional owner. This
requires strong leadership to drive project leadership teams across
Sectors and Departments for on time delivery to the specified
performance of a product at the right level of quality,
reliability, move-rate, and cost.
Create a vision for your group and lead your team towards it;
strive to be a learning organization; create an environment of
continuous improvement.
Responsible for all aspects of people management: recruiting,
training, performance management, coaching/mentoring, with the end
goal of building your team with competent and diligent
employees.
Support your team's technology development: Stay current with the
latest technology and manufacturing developments in the various
fields; Work with your project managers, Technical Supplier
Managers, and module architects on technology road mapping for our
suppliers.
Perform competence development with your team, support problem
solving & lessons learned activities; Work with your team to
develop technical solutions for your products.
Manage your stakeholders: communicate with your stakeholders and
customers on a routine basis, set expectations and communicate any
gaps.
Some travel (up to 20%) primarily in the US with some travel to
Europe, and Asia, as required
This position is located on-site in Wilton, CT. It requires onsite
presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and
meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and
innovation.
Education and experience
BS in Engineering and Physics with minimum 10 years of relevant
experience in Engineering or Product Development environment.
Relevant work experience should include:
At least 3 years of experience in leading engineering teams in a
fast paced, multidisciplinary development and manufacturing
environment.
Experience in stakeholder management & project management in
complex, high-tech and low volume industry
Experience in quality improvement & operational excellence in
manufacturing environment
Skills

documents.

Other information
This position is located on-site in Wilton, CT. It requires onsite
presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and
meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and
innovation.
A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees
working in roles conducive to remote work (up to two days a
week).
This position may require access to controlled technology, as
defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. - 730,
et seq.). As a condition of employment, qualified candidates must
be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to
beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed
with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled
technology.
Essential Job Functions
The essential job functions for this position include, but are not
limited to:
Work in a fast-paced office environment, including working in a
standing or seated position for long periods sometimes exceeding 8
hours per day, 5 days per week.
Commute to ASML's facility and report to work on a regular and
timely basis and complete the scheduled workday on a consistent
basis.
Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to finger,
handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
Occasionally required to move around the campus.
Perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand
manipulation and reach associated with assigned tasks such as
paperwork, computer keyboarding (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
filing, calculating, and use of telephone or other handheld
electronic devices, continuously sometimes exceeding 8 hours per
day, five days per week.
Have a sufficient ability to communicate, through sight, hearing,
and/or otherwise, to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job
safety conditions.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
May require travel (specify domestic and/or international)
dependent on business needs - specify percentage of travel.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and
ability to adjust focus.
