Job Description:

Job Summary We are seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician to provide inpatient/outpatient and/or community care for clients and families across the continuum of care. This role involves providing assessments and coordinating clinical treatment plans, as well as performing behavioral health, substance use services, and crisis intervention services independently. Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct client care using individual, couple, group and family therapy
• Prepare appropriate medical documentation to meet regulatory requirements
• Assess and plan care by evaluating the psychiatric and psychosocial needs of the client
• Provide in home clinical services and direct crisis intervention to clients and families
• Conduct continuous education to client and family members and refer them to appropriate resources
• Work effectively across programs for clients with mental health and substance use disorders
• Negotiate level of care and length of stay with managed care companies
• Participate in administrative activities including team meetings and staff education
• Other related duties as required or assigned Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
  • Active CT License in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Alcohol & Drug Counselor, Marital & Family Therapy
  • Minimum of three years experience dealing with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse population
  • Previous experience in assessment, diagnosis, and individual and group therapy
  • Demonstrated experience using a computer; basic keyboarding skills
