• This is for a JANUARY START ONLY.
• SPEARE WILL NOT CONSIDER ANY TRAVELER WHO RESIDES WITHIN 50 MILES OF FACILITY.

• Must assess and identify patient problems/needs, establish a plan of care, implement interventions, and evaluate and revise the patient plan of care based on patient progress.
• Supports organizational efforts to continuously improve patient satisfaction scores.
• Performs and documents physical and psychosocial assessment of patients.
• Treats co-workers with courtesy and respect.
• Actively works to strengthen interdepartmental relationships.
• Provides comfort to the patients and families.
• Collaborates with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice.
• Patient population: High acuity MSN/Tele.
• Could get a vent or critical patient and then transfer out.
• EMR: Cerner.
• Dress code: Scrubs of any color.
• OT and Holidays Multipliers: x1.25.
• Nonbillable Orientation: 8 hrs.
• Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. RTO REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD WILL NOT BE APPROVED.
• NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better).
• NO RTO CAN BE APPROVED FOR OCTOBER FOR THIS PARTICULAR NEED AT THIS TIME.
  • Job Requirements
  • 2+ years of CURRENT ICU experience - Required
  • Recent experience with high acuity MS/Tele patient - Required
  • Prior travel experience - Preferred
  • BSN - Preferred
  • Work History
  • Skills Checklist (pertinent to position), current to 1 year
  • 1 Supervisory Signed Reference (from within the past two years of employment)
  • License/Certifications - Must be uploaded with profile - Facility will not pend License/Cert
    • Schedule Information
    • The nurse to patient ratio is a 2:1 for ICU levels of care.
    • For bed management purposes they could have MNS level patients and a higher ratio by themselves with someone on call.
    • There is a supervisor in-house that could assist them until the on-call nurse arrives.
    • There are generally 2 nurses on unless the unit low volume census a nurse but would have back up available until that nurse comes in.
      • Unit Specific Information
      • Unit Staffing Environment: The nurse to patient ratio is a 2:1 for ICU levels of care.
      • However, for bed management purposes they could have MNS level patients and a higher ratio by themselves with someone on call.
      • There is a supervisor in-house that could assist them until the on-call nurse arrives.
      • There are generally 2 nurses on unless the unit low volume census then a nurse would have backup available until that nurse comes in.
