    • Job Requirements
    • Must possess Medical and Surgical ICU experience.
    • ACLS/BLS certification required.
    • AIBP experience & CCRN preferred.
    • Ability to perform ventilator care, therapeutic hypothermia, PCI/STEMI, IABP, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, TEE/cardioversion, temporary pacemaker, manage sepsis, stroke/TPA, and DKA.
    • ICU RNs respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response Team calls.
      • Schedule Information
      • Self-scheduling is encouraged.
      • End of week scheduling is available.
      • Overtime is okay if available.
      • Flexible scheduling offered.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Number of ICU beds: 8.
        • Patient Ratios: 2:1.
        • Unit staffing description includes a mixed patient population, with an open ICU and goal staffing of 4 RNs 24/7.
        • Type of equipment: GE B650 cardiac monitors, ventilators, Gaymar cooling.
        • Documentation system used: Meditech.
        • Floating policy entails ICU may float to critical care or intermediate care areas when needed.
        • Patient experience requirements include AIDET validation during orientation, focus on nurse communication, use of whiteboards, hourly rounding, and bedside care conference/handoffs.
