Reporting directly to the Surgical Services Nurse Manager, the Surgical Services Nurse Educator must provide daily updates regarding the status of educational courses being presented to the clinical department to their superior and will be expected to collaborate with the Surgical Services Nurse Manager to ensure all rules and regulations are being followed. Serving as a clinical instructor to the Surgical Services Nurses, the Surgical Services Nurse Educator must be readily available to provide their assistance and guidance during any pressing and/or critical situation. The Surgical Services Nurse Educator must be a strong communicator who regularly informed regarding the care being administered within the various operating rooms, and must be able to highlight their team s strengths, and pinpoint any weaknesses and provide the necessary training to address any matter. The Surgical Services Nurse Educator will be expected to educate and provide clinical insight to the entire operating room clinical staff including but not limited to nurses, scrub technicians, and RNFAs.
