Job Description:
Number of Beds: 22 (critical access hospital)
Provides 24/7 Emergency Care (Trauma Level III), medical-surgical
services, oncology, hematology, podiatry, orthopedics, cardiology,
diagnostic services, radiology and diabetics education
Equipment: Phillips Monitors in SCU rooms/ and telemetry with
central monitoring system, Wall-mounted Welch Allyn VS Machine in
each room, bladder scanner, EKG machine, ceiling and portable
lifts.
EHR: Cerner
Job responsibilities include Assess patients' needs and develop
individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and
other healthcare professionals:
--- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patients'
conditions to the healthcare team promptly
--- Administer medications and treatments according to established
protocols and physician orders
--- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their
families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and recovery
processes
--- Utilize advanced nursing skills and techniques specific to
specialized care areas
--- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to
infection control policies and procedures
--- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care
provided accurately in the medical records
--- Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their rights and
preferences are respected
Requirements:
Float Requirements:
--- Float required as needed including to CMMC
--- Telemetry, float to med/surg every third weekend or as
needed
2YRS+ Exp Working in Specialty
2YRS+ Exp Working Only in Acute Care Setting
