As a Database Cloud Engineer, you will work within the Database Platforms product area to design, develop, deploy and maintain enterprise database platforms. We believe that small, empowered, self-motivated teams can achieve extraordinary things.The Expertise and Skills You BringAt least 8 years of experience working in a large database hybrid environment that includes both on-prem and public cloud resourcesProven expertise and hands on-experience with deploying and managing relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or SybaseExpertise and experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools such as GitHub, Artifactory and Jenkins.Think innovatively and have the ability to automate various administrative tasks using the Python, Groovy, Jenkins, Java , and/or shell scripting skills.Ability to evaluate and propose best-of-breed tools and engineering best-practices.Experience with configuring alerts and monitors to create a highly available platformExperience with on-call support, resolving incidents and release management practices.Strong communication and influencing skillsGood to have a sound knowledge on database performance tuning, backup and recovery strategy, AWS/Azure (EC2/VM provisioning, Networking, peering, private link, block and object storage concepts, rehydration), Hardware/Storage/Network capacity management with cost reduction and performance tuning as end goal. IAC & CICD concepts are a plus.Bonus SkillsHands-on experience in Delphix /Oracle ZFS database virtualization is a plus.Working experience in masking of PII data is a plus.Certification in public cloud (AWS or Azure)Familiarity with distributed databases like Yugabyte or CockroachThe TeamThis is an opportunity for a highly motivated Senior Cloud Engineer to join Cloud and Platform Engineering, Database Platforms.
