To support this belief, we're building a team of dedicated professionals who genuinely care about improving lives, are passionate about work that can make a difference, and driven to learn from one another.The Urgent Care Tech is a Paramedic with a National Registry Certification, functioning under the Medical Direction of Convenient MD. The UCT possesses the education and skills of advanced patient assessment for the management of various medical illnesses and traumatic injuries, airway management, intravenous therapy, and pharmacological interventions. The UCT will function as the lead team member in situations where an RN is not scheduled and will work as part of the clinical team completing all shared clinical responsibilities and tasks within their scope of practice.What you'll do:Patient triage, to include but not limited to: vital signs; medical history; observational examinationAssist with any and all patient exams, testing and procedures under the direction of the providerAirway management through nebulizer treatment, oral suctioning, oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal airway, oxygen administration & ventilation with AMBU bagCardiac Management through application of 12 Lead ECG, CPR-Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, and defibrillation by AEDAdministration of medication and immunizations as outlined by the CMD Urgent Care Technician scope of practiceAssist with patient call backs to include, but not limited to, answering of patient questions, reporting test results, medication/therapy changesParticipates in training and precepting new membersAbout you:Nationally Certified Paramedic (Required in NH & MA, ME preferred)Licensed ParamedicAHA BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification Preferred; American Red Cross BLS Certification AcceptedMust be able to work 12hr shifts and weekends Physical Requirements:Requires the ability to stand and sit for hours at a time. Some bending and stooping is required.Must be able to use manual dexterity in relation to clinical requirements.Must be able to lift 50lbs.There's a job and then there's purposeful, transformative work.
