Job Description BAE Systems' Electronic Systems sector is
seeking an Employee Relations Specialist for assigned New Hampshire
and Massachusetts sites, as well as remote employees. This
individual contributor role will be responsible for driving
proactive, positive employee relations for their assigned employee
base, while coaching leaders to success and managing employee
relations issues.The position reports to the Senior Manager -
Employee Relations and will be based on-site in Nashua, NH, with
25% travel to MA and NH sites. Because this role involves a
combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it
will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between
working onsite and remotely.**Please note that pursuant to a
government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship
status** Primary Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with
management and employees to provide advice and counsel on
employee-related and organizational matters, serving as an employee
advocate and as a coach to employees and leaders.
- Leverage data and insights to assess site climate and implement
short- and long-term HR initiatives, in partnership with HR
Business Partners and local leadership, to mitigate risks and
improve business performance.
- Manage performance improvement plans, claims, investigations
and terminations, in partnership with HR Business Partners, Legal,
Ethics, Security and other key stakeholders.
- Coach leaders on performance management, inclusion, change
management and other actions to improve organizational
effectiveness and employee engagement.
- Collaborate with the broader HR network (i.e. HR Business
Partners, Talent Management, DEI, HR Analytics) to develop and
deploy strategies that address site needs.
- Leverage process improvement/lean manufacturing tools and
methodology to align with business needs; seek new innovative ways
to automate and streamline HR processes.
- Lead and support special projects as assigned.Required
Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of
prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and
minimum 4+ years of experience OR In absence of a degree, 10 years
of relevant experience is requiredMust have strong experience in
complex investigations, organizational diagnostic skills and
developing creative solutions to work environment challengesStrong
knowledge of federal and state employment lawsMust have experience
in coaching and developing leadersMust have the ability to build
relationships and influenceMust be willing to travel up to
25%Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- This position will be located in Nashua, NH; candidate must be
local to the site or be willing to relocate
- SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP or PHR / SPHR certifications
- Experience working in matrixed organization
- Experience in project management and continuous improvementPay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $99410 - $168997Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
