Overview

Under the supervision of the Diagnostic Radiology Manager and/or
Assistant Chief Technologist, performs a wide variety of technical
and professional duties utilizing complex imaging equipment to
produce quality radiographic images as requested for subsequent
interpretation by the radiologist. All duties are performed
according to departmental and organizational policies and
procedures. Promotes service excellence in all interactions as
outlined in the Key Behaviors in the YNHH Core Success Factors and
serves as a mentor for junior staff. Additionally, the Rad Tech 2
functions with minimal supervision, is expected to work
independently in problem solving and may assume responsibility for
Radiography section operations in the absence of the Assistant
Chief Tech. To meet the staffing needs of the department, as
necessary, Diagnostic Radiology staff may be assigned at any of the
YNHH Diagnostic Radiology locations, regardless of your regularly
assigned work location.

Responsibilities
EDUCATION
Graduation from an A.M.A. approved Radiologic Technology program.,
Has ARRT and is in C.E. compliance. Has a current Connecticut state
license.
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years of recent radiography experience with at least one
(1) year at Greenwich Hospital. Demonstrated above average
technical skills and excellent communication skills, RT(R)
certification by the American Registry of, Radiologic Technologists
(ARRT), Connecticut State License, and CPR certification
preferred.
LICENSURE
CT STATE LICENSE AND ARRT LICENSE.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Proficient in advanced Radiography CR/Digital imaging techniques,
above average, knowledge of computer / Pacs applications, and good
organizational and communication/customer service, skills.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds to assist with patient
transfers.
