Villa Maria Rehabilitation & Nursing, a Short-Term Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility located in Plainfield, CT is seeking a Charge Nurse (RN/LPN). 7a-3p/3p-11p.We are looking for a reliable Charge Nurses to care for geriatric patient population in a professional and considerate manner. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Long term care setting and in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm.Responsibilities - Record patient's medical history accurately - Administration of medications and treatments as ordered - Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc. - Monitor patients' condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts - Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks - Collect samples for lab testing as assigned - Oversight of assigned staff members on your unit - Provide emotional and psychological support when needed - Communicate with patients' family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions - Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry and PCC - Compassionate and able to handle stressJob Type: Part-Time / Full-time
