Position OverviewL.L.Bean is seeking a skilled Automation Mechanical Technician to join our facilities team in Freeport, Maine. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing automated maintenance functions, troubleshooting complex industrial equipment, and providing technical support to ensure the smooth operation of our Order Fulfillment Center.Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance functions on complex industrial equipment as scheduled.
• Install, maintain, and support Kuka robot systems, automated, pneumatic, cutting, packaging, sorting equipment, high-speed sewing and production equipment, injection molding, and carton and product transport systems.
• Provide second-level support for complex problems to all departments for all things mechanically automated.
• Collaborate with internal clients in support of new and existing technology requirements.
• Act as an internal resource providing support and expertise required for projects and maintenance.Requirements
  • High school or GED; Vocational/Technical Degree is preferred but not required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain accurate documentation.
