Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Automation and Mechanical Technician to join our facilities team at L.L.Bean's Order Fulfillment Center in Freeport, Maine.Key Responsibilities

• Performing advanced maintenance functions on automated equipment, including fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Servicing as a resource for automation, fluid power, and mechanical safety across the company
• Providing second-level support for complex problems in manufacturing and fulfillment
• Installing, maintaining, and supporting complex Kuka robot systems, automated equipment, and pneumatic systems
• Performing preventative maintenance functions on industrial equipment
• Maintaining accurate documentation of installations and repairs
• Acting as an internal resource for projects and maintenance, with the ability to lead projects and oversee vendors
• Troubleshooting and repairing automated industrial equipment using computer skills
• Collaborating with internal clients to support new and existing technology requirements
• Mentoring and supporting technicians in the team
• Identifying and addressing hazardous conditions or actions that may cause injury or property damage
• Ensuring proper communication of issues or problems to coworkers and leadership
• Providing coverage at designated times to meet business demands and off-shift shutdownsRequirements
  • High school or GED; Vocational/Technical degree preferred but not required
  • 2-5 years of industrial equipment maintenance experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to create and maintain accurate documentation
  • Knowledge and experience with NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety in the Workplace)
  • Able to troubleshoot complex controls and adjust parameter settings with HMI's, I.O.'s, VFD's
