ASML US brings together the most creative minds in science and
technology to develop lithography machines that are key to
producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We
design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced
machines, which enable our customers - the world's leading
chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of
their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful
consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the
Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United
States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and
San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro,
Oregon.
The holder of this position will accurately manufacture and supply
ASML products in accordance with the established specification
statements in a clean room environment. Make improvements to
existing products and processes and guide the implementation of new
products and processes. Ensure the compliance of quality guarantees
and standardization and contribute to improvements in effectivity
and efficiency.
Role and responsibilities
Quality: produce products in accordance with established
specifications. Observe and report about regular and/or on-going
problems that occur in the construction of products or their
operation. Give support to the solution of these problems.
Contribute to the improvement of products and processes. Work in
accordance with Technical Product Documentation (TPD) and ensure
the TPD is complete. Discuss any changes with the Production
Technician, Production Engineer.
Production: manufacture and deliver high level, complex systems
according to the established procedures. Solve any technical
problems that occur. Set an example to other members of the team.
Oversee the total process from assembly through to test and act as
a reference source for problem solving in the area of
expertise.
New products: actively contribute to the pilot production process
and the transition to volume production. Be responsible for the
development and improvement of TPD, processes and records and other
relevant topics. Before the implementation of new procedures,
investigate what their impact will be on the production process.
Come up with constructive ideas for product improvement.
Skills: acquire sufficient knowledge of new and established
products and processes, modifications, sub-modules and complete
systems. Have an in-depth knowledge of the correlation between the
module and the whole system and the relationship with other (sub)
systems. Pass on relevant expertise.
Teamwork: support good teamwork by the search for solutions and
ideas arising from input and the implementation of departmental
tasks.
Planning: coordinate the activities given in the production plan
and monitor the practical situation. Closely control the use of
tools, materials and equipment.
Education and experience
Minimum of a High School diploma or GED required, or equivalent
education experience.
3+ years of Mechanical manufacturing/assembly experience
Very detail oriented
Experience working assembling small parts preferred.
5+ years' experience in a technical assembly environment
preferred.
Lean Manufacturing Training (i.e. Intro to Lean, 5S, Kaizen, VSM,
etc.) preferred.
Strong analytical skills-capable of translating requirements into
executable schedule.
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and
manage changing priorities.
Analytical thinker, structured, able to work with the available
information.
Service oriented, good communicator and team player.
Strives for and facilitates continuous improvements.
Strong Computer Skills-SAP, Office and SPC Programs a plus.
At least 4 months previous ASML experience as a Technician 4.

Role within the Factory
Responsibilities:
Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing
coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire
duration of shift.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is
required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger,
handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and
stretch.
The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and
ability to adjust focus.
Can work under deadlines.
The environment generally is moderate in temperature with moderate
to high noise level.
Must be willing to work 3rd shift hours and be flexible to convert
to a compressed work week schedule - twelve-hour long shift and
rotating from three to four days a week.
This must include references to day and night shifts for
accommodation purposes.

Working around lasers; working with ladders; working on platforms;
and working around chemicals.
The employee is occasionally required to move around the
campus.
The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
May require travel dependent on company needs.
The environment generally is moderate in temperature and noise
level.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined
in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. -
730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to
access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business
demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are
immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
