Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Pay: $24.45-$25.45 an hr - Bi-weekly

Job Type:

Onsite in Portland, ME

Shift Options:

5 days a week with rotating weekends

Day: 9am - 5:30pm x1 temp needed
Mid: 11am - 7:30pm x1 temp needed
Evening: 2:30pm - 11:30pm x2 temps needed



Pharmacy Technician Overview:

Works under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to fill prescriptions and prepare IVs.
Collaborates with Billing Supervisor to enter data into computer systems to fill prescriptions and obtain reimbursement payments.
Assists in prepackaging medication for dispensing according to standards and government regulations.
Helps in final checking of filled prescriptions, which may include stating the medication for RPh final review and/or packaging of medication post-RPh final review.
Coordinates accurate and timely delivery of medications to customers.
Aids Pharmacy Management in maintaining good inventory practices, including receiving and rotating incoming medications and supplies.
Posts lot numbers and expiration dates and assists in physical inventory.
Works with Technician Supervisor to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Checks equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness.

Pharmacy Technician Qualifications:

Maine Pharmacy Technician License required.
